Practice EHR welcomes Karna Morrow, CPC, RCC, CCS-P, as our new implementation manager. Morrow has spent nearly three decades in the healthcare industry and brings a wealth of industry knowledge. Throughout her career she’s worked with a variety of healthcare organizations, providing medical billing and coding consulting and leading electronic health record implementations and training.
We sat down with Karna to learn more about her, and her role. We’ve learned that she’s someone you’ll enjoy working with and can teach you the difference between a level three and level four office visit. She’s also contagiously passionate about healthcare (and her two fur children, Taz and Mollie). We’re very excited to have Karna join the team. Keep reading to learn about the exciting things ahead.
Welcome to Practice EHR. What is your role as implementation manager?
I will do a bit of everything. As implementation manager, I’ll lead the implementation department and work closely with business development to support client retention, growth and expansion for the company. I’m really excited to begin working on initiatives that will drive our overall customer experience and improve our implementation and training processes. I am already working on educational resources we will be providing for 2020 to help clients better understand changes to the code sets, the rules for ordering advanced imaging and MIPS reporting.
What interested you most about joining the Practice EHR team?
I care deeply about bridging the gap between the clinical and business sides of medicine, and I’m thrilled to join Practice EHR to do just that. I wanted to be somewhere I could truly make an impact and be a valuable resource. Practice EHR is focused on the customer experience, and I believe that positions us uniquely. We’re not just a software vendor, but a valuable partner and resource for medical practices. We not only ensure the best client experience with the right tools and software to help practices be successful, but also help physicians positively impact patient care. That’s something I’m excited to be a part of!
What changes or offerings can Practice EHR clients expect in the future?
My goal is to build upon our solutions and provide the best customer service to our clients. I plan to provide training and education on how to best implement and leverage software solutions. Because of my in-depth knowledge and experience in medical billing, coding, and compliance, clients can also expect more communications and trainings that will help them, regardless of size or specialty, adapt quickly to changes within the industry. As new legislation, codes and changes unfold, Practice EHR clients will be able to turn to us to support their financial and operational success, and deliver effective patient care.
